
After shifting her funeral-hopping hobby into an actual job at a funeral home, Mavis believed her new gig would bust her from boredom and isolation, despite discovering the funeral home hides a portal to an elite bunker society where deadly battles called “pageants” are staged for kinks and entertainment; but when her daughter is next on the pageant roster, Mavis has to dig deep and give the society a battle they did not prepare for.

I have a bunch of unfinished writing projects pushed to the side as new ideas come up. This one, though…oh, this one I’m finishing. The story won’t let me go. Probably because it is coming alive at a time when I am feeling a certain way about the world we are living in, and what it feels like to be living in it at this age.
I do love the exciting and imaginative stories featuring twenty-somethings who save the world. Yet, I yearn for heroes I can relate to; who I can imagine myself to be. So I’m writing that story.
